Patricia Sloop Wallace

Obituary: Patricia Sloop Wallace, 65, of Lexington, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the Hinkle Hospice House following a period of declining health. She was born February 21, 1949 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late C.A. Sloop and Ruby Bumgarner Sloop. She had formerly worked at Brightmoore Nursing Center and had been a cab driver for TJ's Taxi in Kannapolis. She loved to put together puzzles. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 11th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Avery C. Varnadore. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Whitley's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at a sister's home, Marcia Dunlap, 2005 Florida Ave., Kannapolis. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Cline of Lexington, Karen Miller (Kelly) of Conover, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two brothers, Chris Sloop (Tina) of Maryland, Steve Sloop (Pat) of Salisbury, two sisters, Marcia Dunlap (David) of Kannapolis and Wanda Blackwelder (Bennie) of Salisbury.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M.,Thursday July 10, 2014 Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 2:00 P.M., Friday July 11, 2014 Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Carolina Memorial Park.
