Patrick Neal Karriker

Patrick Neal Karriker, 30, of China Grove went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 7, 2023.

Patrick was the son of Phillip Wayne Karriker and Jamie Lynette Runion Karriker of China Grove.  He was born November 10, 1992, in Cabarrus County, N.C.

Patrick was a 2011 graduate of Northwestern High School in Manchester, PA. He moved to North Carolina and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Catawba College in 2015 and attended Southeastern Theological Seminary in Wake Forest where he was very close to obtaining his Masters of Divinity Degree. While he was a student at Catawba, he was a cross country runner and was a very talented musician, playing in the marching band, swing band and orchestra. He had the ability to play almost any instrument he picked up.  Patrick was a member of First Baptist Church of China Grove where he was a Sunday School Teacher, helped with the Campus Crusade for Christ, First Baptist Men on Missions, and had been on several mission trips.

Preceding Patrick in death were his Maternal Grandparents, Carl E. Runion and Wanda H. Long.  Family members left here to mourn his passing, in addition to his parents, include his sister Bethany Karriker Rousey and her husband Aaron Rousey of Enochville, Paternal Grandparents, Kenneth R. Karriker and Sara C. Karriker of Kannapolis along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and all who were special to him.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at First Baptist Church of China Grove conducted by Rev. Trent Drye, Pastor. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30-2:00 P.M. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.

The family requests that any memorials be made to First Baptist Church of China Grove, for First Baptist Men on Missions, 302 Patterson Street, China Grove, NC 28023.
