Obituary: Patsy Mitchem Nussman, 78, of 6601 Somersworth Drive, Charlotte, died at her home on Saturday, August 1, 2009 after being in declining health for 3 years. Mrs. Nussman was born on July 31, 1931 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late David Haskell Mitchem and the late Annie Pearl Shinn Mitchem.She was raised in the Kannapolis area and was a homemaker and a loving, caring wife, mother and friend to those who knew her. She is survived by her husband, John Monroe Nussman, Sr. of the home.A son: John Monroe Nussman, Jr. of Charlotte and a daughter: Jan Nussman Mesaros also of Charlotte. The funeral for Mrs. Nussman will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jimmie Melton.Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.The visitation for Mrs. Nussman will be from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at Whitley's Funeral Home.
