Patsy Fortson Turner

Obituary: Patsy Turner Alice Patricia Fortson Turner, 79, of Kannapolis passed away on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017. She was born July 13, 1938 in Royston, Georgia, a daughter of the late Jack Dawson Fortson and Ruth Cromer Fortson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Willis Fortson. Patsy had retired as a nurse where she worked at the Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury for many years. She attended Landis Baptist Church. Patsy loved gardening, sewing and was an artist. She really enjoyed cooking, not just for her family but also cooking meals for others, a true servant behind the scene. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017 at Landis Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Richie Honeycutt. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior at the church. Patsy is survived by her children, Trent Moore (Georgie) of Rockwell, Sam Moore of Sedan, Kansas, Patrick Lee Moore of Kannapolis, Jimmy Moore (Crystal) of Landis and Karen Rowe (Tom) of Phoenix, Az., grandchildren, Jacob Moore (Ashley), Shelby Austin (Kevin), Daniel Moore (Brittany), Britany Cunningham (Lee), Katherine Cloos (David Mote), Rachel Cloos (Michael Standard), Seth Moore, McKinney Moore (Tyler Bullard), Patrick Allen Moore, great grandchildren, Reid Austin, Wiles Alice Austin, Dawsyn Moore, Faith Cloos, Sterling Mote, Lane and Kade Cunningham, Easton Moore, sisters, Betty Ketner and Sandra Waggoner and sister in law Elma Fortson. Memorials may be made to Landis Baptist Church, 110 N Kimmons St, Landis, NC 28088. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Pons, CMC-Northeast staff of ICU and Cardia Care units and to Hospice for the love and care shown.
