Obituary: Patsy Goble Wilson, 75, of Kannapolis died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at CMC-NE in Concord after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, February 19 at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Rhoades officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church Commons. Patsy was born Nov. 28, 1936 in Cabarrus Co., a daughter of the late R.D. and Nellie Simpson Goble. She graduated from AL Brown High School in 1955 and attended Evans Business College and Rowan Cabarrus Community College. Patsy was a life-long member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church, where she previously served as church secretary, Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher and piano player. She participated in many church activities. Patsy was a Past Matron of Miriam Winslow Chapter #168 Order of the Eastern Star, where she also served as District Deputy Grand Matron and Mother Advisor for the order of the Rainbow for Girls. In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Michael A. Johnson, Sr. and her 2nd husband Billy Allen Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry S. Johnson of the home, her son Michael A. Johnson, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Davidson, her grandsons, Ben Johnson (Kelly) and Elijah Johnson both of Davidson, her great-granddaughter, Kelci Elizabeth Johnson and her great-grandson, Benjamin Michael Johnson, Jr., her step-son, Danny Allen Wilson of Kannapolis, her sisters Evelyn Goble Cline and Doris Goble Sherrill, both of Kannapolis and several nieces and nephews.
