Patti Lee Blake Lasker

Obituary: Patti Lee Blake Lasker, age 47, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the home of her mother, Patsy Blake, after suffering from complications of Lupus for several years. She was born December 30, 1967 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of Patsy Knowles Blake and the late Walter Lee Blake. Patti was a 1986 graduate of A.L. Brown High School; received her bachelor's degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990; and later received her nursing degree at the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing. Patti was a registered nurse having worked at CMC-Main; CMC-University; Presbyterian Hospital; and some nursing homes throughout her career. Her main career was being a home maker raising her family and enjoyed cooking for her family. Her husband fondly remembers her strong devotion to their children. Patti will now be standing at the side of her beloved Grand Pa, John Arena. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Pastor Rhoades Wooley, of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, NC where she was a member. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. The family will remain at their respective residences the remainder of the time. Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Eric M. Lasker; her children, Joshua, Ryan, Blake, Devyn, and Piper Lasker; and a special friend, Amy Ritchie of Kannapolis, NC.
