Patty Faye (Boone) Burr

Patty Faye Boone Burr, 63, of Kannapolis, passed away Thursday morning, June 4, 2020, at CMC-Northeast Medical Center, following a period of declining health.

Born October 4, 1956, in Newport News, Virginia, Patty was the daughter of the late James Otis Boone and Ruby Lee Bradshaw Boone.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christian Burr, and her brother, Mike Boone.

Patty had worked for McDonald’s on Cannon Boulevard in Kannapolis, where she had made many friends. She and Marshall were of the Baptist faith and had attended God's Tabernacle Spirited Baptist Church in Kannapolis. Patty was a wonderful homemaker who loved all of her family and enjoyed spending time with them. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Burr will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family members left to cherish Patty’s memory include her devoted husband of nearly 46 years, Marshall L. Burr; her sons, James Clifford Burr and Matthew Otis Burr (Sabrina); her granddaughter, Morgan Marie Burr; and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 8th, from 11:30-12:30 pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  Graveside services to remember and celebrate Patty’s life will begin at 1:00 pm Monday at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove, conducted by Pastor Rodney Boone.
