Patty Howell

Obituary: Patricia "Patty" Woodard Howell, 80, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 28. Patty was born on August 18, 1937 in Cabarrus County to the late John Perry Woodard and Maggie Callicutt Woodard. She was preceeded in death by her husband Eugene "Doc" Howell; brothers, Bob Woodard and Poss Woodard, both of Kannapolis; and sister Fran Little of Morehead City. Patty was a graduate of AL Brown High School and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and, most of all, spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of North Kannapolis Baptist Church. Patty is survived by her daughters, Terri H. Moon and husband Kevin of Landis, and Dana Lea Wyatt and husband Jeff of Landis, brother; Jim Woodard and wife Joan of Landis; grandchildren, Ryan Moon and wife Brie, Brandon Moon, Amber Safrit, Jordan Thompson and husband Zach, Tristan "Shaggy" Wyatt; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6 at Whitley's Funeral Home from 2:00 - 3:00. The memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00, officiated by Rev. Chris O'Guin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rowan Hospice & Palliative Care of Salisbury
