Paul E. (Gene) Bare

Obituary: Kannapolis, NC- Paul E. (Gene) Bare, age 66, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Brian Center, Concord, NC after a period of declining health. He was born August 17, 1947 in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of the late Richard Nathan Sheets and Mildred Virginia Bodenheimer Sheets. Gene was employed in the construction field for many years as a sheet metal operator until an injury made him disabled. His family remembers his love of pets especially his dog, Precious, a long-time companion. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Thrift Bare. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Willis Parrish and Rev. Alan Williams. Survivors include a brother, James Bare & wife, Patricia of Kannapolis, NC; one son, Nathan Bare; a step-daughter, Sue Cochran & a step-son, Joe Thrift, both of Kannapolis, NC. Memorials may be made to Bethpage United Methodist Church, in memory of Gene Bare, brother of James Bare, 109 Fellowship Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
