Paul Herman Brown, 86, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

Paul was born on January 19, 1939, in Rowan County. He was the cherished only son of the late Herman Robert Brown and Edith Rodgers Brown Blackwelder. In Addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Edward Fisher Blackwelder.

Paul was a devoted Army veteran, lifelong farmer, and retired Ford Motor Company employee. He spent his early years working on the family farm before dedicating 42 years to Ford. After retiring, he worked part-time at Ritchie's Brothers Auctioneers.

Paul was a passionate fisherman and farmer; he loved spending time on the water and working with hit-and-miss engines. He also took pride in making cornmeal on his grist mill, a hobby rooted in his farming heritage. Paul was very hard-working and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Dianne Hill; cousins, Mitchell Overcash, and Randy and Sharon Beam.

The family will Receive friends from 1:00pm- 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00pm in Whitley’s Chapel. The burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis with Military Honors.
