Paul Daniel Christian

Paul Daniel Christian, 76, of Concord, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

Paul was born on March 12, 1943 in Cabarrus County to the late Ola Gurley Christian and Collis Frank Christian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Louise Christian.

Paul honorably served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He fought in the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart Recipient.  He worked as a supervisor at Cannon Mills for 40 years.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, David (June) Christian; nephews, Eric (Sandy) Melton, Tyler (Beverly) Christian, Christopher Christian, David (Michelle) Christian II, and Lloyd (Sandra) Melton Jr.


A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Stout officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at Carolina Memorial Park with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul’s memory may be made to Marine Toys for Tots program, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172.
