Obituary: Paul Franklin Hilton, 78, of Kannapolis passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at his home. He was born March 17, 1940 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Ralph and Lottie Bolick Hilton. Paul had retired as a machinist from Cannon Mills Machine Shop after many years. He loved fishing and Nascar racing. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 18, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Darrell Coble and Rev. Michael Waters. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Thursday at Whitley's. Paul is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Hyde, three children, Ricky Hilton (Melissa), Danny Hilton (Janet), Paula Marlow (Jerry), step children, David Head, Delane Head (Lisa), 6 grandchildren, Cody, Brooke, Phylicia, Emily, Savannah, Jeremy, 2 great grandchildren, Rilee and Summer, many step grand and step great grandchildren, sister, Linda Lewis, as well as nieces and nephews.
