Obituary: Paul "Butch" Wayne Kelly, 74 of Kannapolis, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at CMC-NE. Funeral Service will be held at 6:30 PM Friday, September 14, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Pauley officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-6:30 PM Friday prior to the service at Whitley's Funeral Home. He was born October 9, 1943 in Rowan Co. to the late Fred Kelly and Lillian Mae Beaver Kelly. Butch enjoyed working as a machinist for many years, grilling out, and spending time with his family, he will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by a son Allen Kelly in 1997. Those left to cherish his memory, wife of 40 years, Robin Kelly, son, Wayne Kelly (Whitney) of Kannapolis, daughters; Annette Woolard (Bruce) of Concord, Lana Simmons (Tommy) of Statesville, Leann Combs (Brian) of Kannapolis, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
