Paul Ellis Sanders

Paul Ellis Sanders, 94, of Davidson passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Tucker Hospice House. Paul was born in Ninety-Six, S.C., son of the late Paul Ellis Sanders Sr. and Narvice Bouknight Sanders. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Darby and a half-brother, Jacob Bill Bouknight.

Paul grew up in Chester, S.C., graduated High School in 1944, moved to Charlotte in 1955 and later to Davidson. He retired from Custom Fixtures, Charlotte. He was a member of Crown Pointe Baptist Church. He loved to read and enjoyed his Bible study.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020 at Crown Pointe Baptist Church in Kannapolis officiated by Rev. Gene Beaver. Burial will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Rd, Charlotte, NC 28215 at 3:00 PM. His family will receive friends at the church prior from 10:30 to 12:00.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Isla M. Sanders, son, Glenn Sanders (Mary), # of nephews and nieces, Tommy Cash of Powell, WY, Karen Hines of Denver, Jeff Sawyer and Jill Walsh of Macon, GA., Gail Swanger of Timmonsville, SC and Lynette Ross of Hartsville, SC.
