Paul "Wayne" Sherrill

Paul “Wayne” Sherrill, 85 years old, of Mooresville, went to be with his Lord on January 1, 2024.  Wayne was born on April 14, 1938, in Cabarrus County to the late Lewis Paul Sherrill and Vera Turner Cannon.

Wayne worked for Cannon Mills as a fixer in Plant 1 for many years prior to retiring.  He loved to fish, go to the beach, and work in his yard and garden.

Wayne was predeceased by his wife, Helen Little Sherrill in 2021, his brothers, Harold and Buddy Sherrill, and his granddaughter, Courtney Graham.  Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Donna Sherrill Fortner (Craig) and Tammy Renee Wilkerson (Gilbert); his stepdaughter, Cindy Triece (Doug); his stepson, Darrell Graham (Taffy); his brother, Charles Sherrill; his eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, 2:00pm at Carolina Memorial Park with Rev. Dennis Craft officiating.
