Paula Jane (Lund) Witt

Paula Jane (Lund) Witt, 49, of Concord, NC went to the Lord on January 12, 2021 after a courageous battle with Lupus, and then complications from COVID 19, at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Known for her quick wit, love of a good joke and handling life’s trials and tribulations with humor, Paula was a friend like no other to anyone she ever met. Once you met her, you never forgot Paula Witt as she would do anything and everything she could to help others.

Born June 24, 1971 in Edgerton, Wisc., Paula is survived by her husband Anthony Witt and son, Dalton (Kadyn Parrish) who inspired and loved her dearly as she passionately supported their careers in NASCAR.

Both she and Anthony grew up in racing families, so there was never a lack of conversation or topics to debate in their household about the sport they all loved.

Paula is also survived by her parents, Wayne and Cynthia Lund of Edgerton Wisc., brother Craig (Rebecca) Lund, their daughters Brianna Lund (Sam Haines) of Seattle, Wash. and Ashlyn of Granite Quarry, NC. She is also survived by her brother Matthew, and his two children, Addyson and Avery.

Paula is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Frederick (Fritz) and Marian (Skaar) Busch of Edgerton, Wisc. Paternal grandparents Jergen and Belinda (Christianson) Lund, also of Edgerton, Wisc.

There is a Visitation from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, January 16 at Whitley’s Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mt. Olivet Rd, Kannapolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Paula’s name to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2121 K.Street, NW, Suite 200, Washington D.C. 2007-1830.
