Paula Rene (Rodgers) Wagner

Paula Rodgers Wagner, 65, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at her home, following a period of declining health.

Born in Cabarrus County on August 2, 1957, Paula was the daughter of the late James William and Mary Alice Gamble Rodgers. She was also preceded in death by a niece, Jamie Rebecca Stewart Ginn.

A 1975 graduate of AL Brown, Paula continued her education, graduating from Louise Harkey School of Nursing. Mrs. Wagner was a registered nurse and had faithfully served at Northeast Medical Center.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Although in a much better place today, Paula will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Beloved family members include her husband of 46 years, Ronald Gene Wagner; her sons, Jeremy Wagner, Jason Wagner (Mary) and Hunter Linker; daughters, Emma and Lily Wagner; her brother, Steve Rodgers; nieces, Beth and Sarah Rodgers and extended family members.

A memorial service to remember Mrs. Wagner will begin at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 29th, at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Reverend Dennis Craft. The family will speak with guests following the service at the funeral home.
