Pauline Stanford

Obituary: Pauline Rogers Stanford, 90, of Kannapolis passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at her home. She was born August 28, 1924 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Homer Banks Rogers and Mary Elizabeth Scercy Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil N. Stanford, children, Ronald Stanford, Delma Stanford, Sherry Ann Stanford and Baby boy Stanford, a deceased grandchild and a deceased great grandchild, four brothers and four sisters. Pauline was retired after working at Burlington Mills and Cannon Mills for many years. She was a member of West A Tabernacle Church. She loved to plant flowers. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home with a service to follow at 5:00 PM in Whitley's Chapel officiated by Rev. Nicholas Jackson and Rev. Rodney Efird. Burial will be at 1:00 PM Friday at Unity Methodist Church cemetery. She is survived by three children, Dale M. Bostian (Mitchell), Linda G. Ervin and Bobby Stanford, sister-in-law Pat Stanford, step-son, Gerald Stanford (Betty), step-daughter Loretta Brannon (Melvin), 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, sister, Betty Lou Linker (Bill), three brothers, Carl Rogers (Corinne), Ken Rogers (Betty) and Raymond Rogers.
