Peggy Ann (Deal) Barnhardt

Peggy D Barnhardt, 84, of Kannapolis went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Morningside of Concord, following several years of declining health.

Peggy was born June 14, 1939, to C.M. Deal and Beulah Deal. She graduated from A.L. Brown High School and attended Catawba College. In her earlier years she served as a Scout Leader, Sunday School Leader, and various roles in church women's groups. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Kannapolis.

Despite many health challenges throughout life and especially in recent years, Peggy was a woman of faith who loved Jesus.

Peggy was preceded in death by parents C.M Deal and Beulah Deal, husband Paul Barnhardt, and sister Shirley Childers. She is survived by son Jeff Barnhardt and sister Debbie Duncan and her husband Jamie, all of Kannapolis. She is also survived by several nieces, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

The family would like to thank the staff of Morningside of Concord for caring for Peggy for several years.

Also, special thanks to nurse Kim of Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Presbyterian Kannapolis or to the charity of the donor's choice.
