Obituary: Peggy Christy Ewing age 78 of 1416 West "A" Street Kannapolis died Sunday July 25,2010 at the Tucker Hospice House after a illness of 6 weeks. Mrs. Ewing was born Nov. 25 1931 in Rowan County to the Late Amos W. Christy and the late Alice Mc Combs Christy. She was educated in the Kannapolis City Schools and the School of Radiology. She was employed at C.M.C. North East Hospital as a Radiology Technician for many years retiring in 1991. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 31, 2010 at 1:00 P M at the main chapel of Whitley"s Funeral Home. The family will see friends from 12:00 to 1:00 P M before the service. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Mrs. Ewing was preceded in death by her husband Alvin "Buck" Ewing and a daughter Kelly Ewing. She is survived by a daughter Elaine Park and husband Bentley of Holly Springs N.C. One Brother Max Christy and wife Sue and One Sister Fay Floyd Both of Kannapolis. One Grandson Adam Park of Chapel Hill and several Nieces and nephews Mrs Ewing loved to needle point and crochet She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister.
