Peggy Fink

Obituary: Peggy Joyce Roberts Fink, 79, of Concord, NC went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health. Peggy was born May 17, 1935 in Richland Parrish, La. a daughter of the late Earl Randolph Roberts and Eula Corrine Robinson Roberts. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Fink on May 7,2009, one brother, Earl Roberts and four sisters, Nellie "Tappy" Girod, Laverine Willis, Virginia Morgan and Irene Herrin. She was a 1955 graduate of A.L. Brown High School and was employed with Cannon Mills Plt. #1 in the shearing dept., retiring with over 38 years of service. Peggy was an active member of Second Presbyterian Church where she had served as an elder and was an avid choir member. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She was an accomplished sewer. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Second Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev .Howard Tyas. Interment will follow at Mt Olive Lutheran Church Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home Friday, April 24, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. At other times they will be at the residence. Survivors include five children; Randy Fink, Rhonda Fink Cline & husband Mike, Robin Fink, Roger Dale Fink, and Reba Fink Giddings & husband Larry. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Jeffrey Fink, Brandy Kabusk, Paul Kabusk , Michael Cline, Travis Giddings and Taylor Giddings. She is also survived by one sister, Frances Mercurio of Florida. "The family would like to express their appreciation to Mrs. Fink's caregivers; Becky Giddings, Susan McMillan, and Jean Smith for their compassion and care during her illness."
