Obituary: Peggy Ann Snider Leonard, 70, of Kannapolis died Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Atrium Health - NorthEast from injuries resulting from a car accident. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 27 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Ms. Judy Cochran officiating. Family will visit with friends after the service. Peggy was born June 19, 1948 in Lexington, NC, a daughter of the late James Foy Snider and Madeline Link Snider. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by a sister, and her step-son, Joseph Gregory Leonard. In earlier years, Peggy was a member of 2nd United Church of Christ in Lexington. She worked for many years as an internal auditor for Mecklenburg County. Later she was employed by Duke Energy. Peggy retired in 2015. Peggy is survived by her husband, Carl R. Leonard of the home, her daughter, Allison McCall of Brevard, her stepson, Jonathan "Dale" Leonard (Brook) of Mooresville and grandsons, Matthew and Tyler McCall.
