Peggy Lou Kennedy Marshall, 81, of Kannapolis passed away peacefully at her home with children and family by her bedside on September 28, 2021 at her home. She was born March 16, 1940 in Duplin County, a daughter of the late Ned and Doris Heath Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lee Marshall, granddaughter, Alisha Clark and two brothers, Wesley and Tracy Kennedy.
Peggy worked for Corriher Mills for many years and then for Composs Food Service retiring in 2002. She also was a volunteer at the AmVets Bingo Hall in Statesville.
Peggy’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 1, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Brad Jenkins. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 10 to 11 prior at Whitley’s.
Peggy is survived by her son, James Lee Marshall (Trenta), daughters, Marleen Clark (Gary), Shelia Stancil (Eddie), brother, Sonny Kennedy, sisters, Evelyn Bollinger, Linda Ingle, 5 grandchildren, Amber Menius (Travis), Cody Marshall (Brooke), Dwight Earnest Marshall (Emma), Cameron Clark, Savannah Stancil, 5 great grandchildren, Emery Menius, Kenslie Earnest Marshall, Keerstin Clark, Allyson Argo and Alyssa Clark and many nieces and nephews.
