Peggy Teal O’Daniel passed away peacefully on September 2, 2023 at the age of 94 after a few years of declining health.
She was born October 26th, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Bruce Teal and Eva Barber Teal. Peggy was employed with the former Fieldcrest-Cannon Inc. plant one in Kannapolis for over 40 years until her retirement.
Family and faith were the focus of her life. She was a devoted Christian. Her love for the Lord and her family was unwavering. She also loved reading, cooking, baking and canning.
Peggy lived a life filled with kindness, and compassion. She was known for her selflessness and unwavering support for those around her.
Peggy leaves behind a lasting legacy. Her dedication to her family was unparalleled, as a devoted nurturing mother, and doting grandmother. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, as she always lent a helping hand to friends and neighbors in times of need.
Throughout her life, Peggy brought light and laughter wherever she went, making enduring friendships and leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Although Peggy's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her unwavering kindness, compassionate nature, and zest for life will forever serve as an inspiration.
As we mourn the loss of such an incredible soul, let us also celebrate the life that Peggy O’Daniel lived. May her legacy serve as a reminder to us all to cherish our loved ones and spread kindness, love, and peace to those in need.
Rest in peace, dear Peggy you will be deeply missed by many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, James L. O'Daniel, brother, W. Bruce Teal, and her sister, Rosa Nell Clement.
Survivors include two children whom she loved so very much. James (Amy) O’Daniel of Rockwell and Anna (Scott) Beaver of China Grove. Four grandchildren, Dustin (Mercedes) O’Daniel, Taylor O’Daniel, Weston Tucker and Jordan Beaver . One great grandchild London Rae.
The family will receive visitors from 12-1:30 PM Friday, September 8, 2023 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis with Rev. Shawn Beaver officiating
