Peggy Tomlinson

Obituary: Peggy Joyce Oliver Tomlinson, 77, of Kannapolis passed away on December 5, 2017 at the Tucker Hospice House. She was born February 21, 1940 in Royston, Georgia, a daughter of the late Ray Delton Oliver and Lucy Mina Cromer Oliver. She was preceded in death by an infant son, William Harris Tomlinson. Peggy retired from NorthEast Medical Center after 37 ½ years where she was a secretary in the pharmacy. Peggy loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She loved her trips with her cousins. Peggy also loved watching sports and Nascar racing on television. She attended Midway United Methodist Church. Peggy always helped other people and was loved by many. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Todd McCullough. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM prior at Whitley's. Peggy is survived by two daughters, Donna King (Michael) of Ocala, Fl., Luanne Wiseman (George) of Kannapolis, 5 grandchildren, Taylor and Lynnsey Coffey, Carter, Kendal and Katelyn Wiseman, brother, David Oliver (Martha) of Kannapolis, numerous cousins and her dearest friends, June Land, Judy Vaughn and the late Phyllis Strickland. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 and/or Midway United Methodist Church, 708 S Main St, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
Visitation: 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., Friday December 8th. Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 2:00 Friday, December 8, 2017 Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Will be at a later date.
