Peggy Wardell, 94 of Concord went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 29, 2024, at the Greens of Cabarrus. Peggy was born in Gaston County on January 8, 1930, to the late Capers Carl Caskey and the late Ena Earnhardt Caskey.

Peggy loved to play bingo, she also loved going to lake Norman and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Peggy loved to dress up with her jewelry, she loved reading and sitting outside. She was faithful to read her bible and in later life listened to audio books. She also enjoyed the activities at the Greens at Cabarrus and most always participated. She also enjoyed getting her hair fixed and would often go to sleep under the hair dryer.

We would also like to thank the staff at the Greens at Cabarrus for taking such good care of Mom and for all the Love the showed her.

In addition to her parents Peggy was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Hess Caster and Charles E. Wardell, her son, Jerry Wayne Caster, Sr. a very special daughter in law, Betty J. Caster and grandson Jerry Wayne Caster, Jr.; a great grandson, Troy Chase Caster; a sister; Helen Peeler and her brother; C.C. Caskey.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son; Terry L. Caster (Pam) of Concord, daughters; Billie L. Page (Doug) of Kannapolis, Donna M. McCorkle, sister; Elaine Todd of Virginia. Grandchildren; Kelly Coombs, Brian Page, Robin Dellinger, Mickie Royal, Phillip Morrison, Donna Wagner, Chrissie Presutti and Michael Caster, Great Grandchildren; Caleb Royal, Logan Royal, Christy Coombs, Sophia Morrison, Heather Evans, Zachary Wayne Nesbitt, Karrisa Presutti, Owen Presutti, Kadin Presutti, Jarrad Presutti, Kearstin Caster, Austin Caster and Zachary.

The family will receive friends on Thursday November 7, 2024, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC 28083. With a Celebration of Life service beginning at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
