Phyllis Manette (Green) Brown

Phyllis Manette Green Brown, 82, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Brian Center of Concord. Her death was unexpected.

Phyllis was born October 29, 1939 in Cabarrus County, NC, a daughter of the late Leonard Green and Dezree Slawson Green.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Leonard Brown, a son, Gene Leonard Brown, II, and a grandson, Joshua Holden Bost.

Survivors include two daughters; Wendy Bost of Concord and Angie Brown of Kannapolis, and two grandsons; Isaac Bost and Panner Bost both of Concord.

She is also survived by her loving canine companions - a Boxer “Piper," a Boston Terrier, “Princess,” and a Rat Terrier “Lucky."

Phyllis had retired from Phillip Morris Company with 25 years of service. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, going to the beach, and fishing.  She loved animals especially Boxers. She was a loving mother, wife, and “MEME."

The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Humane Society of Concord and Greater County, 2010 Wilshire Court SW, Concord, NC 28025.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Tom Christensen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Concord.
