Phyllis Ann Chapman

Obituary: Phyllis Ann Chapman, 76, of Kannapolis, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at her brother's home. She was born June 25, 1939 in Alexander Co. to the late James Atwell Chapman and Wilma Childers Chapman. Phyllis worked for Blazer Finance for 36 years and after her retirement worked at Chapman Pharmacy. She was a member of Blackwelder Park Baptist Church, faithfully serving in various positions. Phyllis was committed to providing and caring for her family and friends. Her dedication to those she loved, especially her nieces and nephews, was unparalled. She was thoughtful, caring and lived a life of selflessness and humility. She was preceded in death by her parents and also one grandnephew. Those left to cherish her memory, a brother Charles W. Chapman (Sandra); three nephews, Charles Alan Chapman (Krista), James Brian Chapman (Allison), David Thomas Chapman, one niece Carla Chapman Fulton (Brad), and also 4 grandnieces and 5 grandnephews. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM Monday (April 11) at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow visitation at 2:00 PM at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church with the Dr. Rev. Stan Welch and Rev. Phil Goble, and burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Blackwelder Park Baptist Church, 2204 Summit Ave, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
