Obituary: China Grove, NC- Phyllis Carol Farrington, age 67, of Hwy 153, died Friday, December 23, 2011 at her home after a period of declining health.She was born November 17, 1944 in Rowan County, NC, the daughter of Ottis Flowers Farrington and the late Joseph Raymond Farrington, Sr. Phyllis was former employed with the former Terry Products, Inc., Kannapolis, NC for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Kannapolis Church of God, Kannapolis, NC where she was active in the Lydia Circle. Her family fondly remembers her love of traveling especially to the beach and spending time with her dog, Buddy. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Raymond (Joey) Farrington, Jr. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 P.M. Monday, December 26, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Sam Crisp. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 P.M.
