Phyllis Parton Johnson

December 21, 1946 — June 9, 2017

Obituary: Mrs. Phyllis Parton Johnson, 70, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health. She was born December 21, 1946 in Iredell County, NC a daughter of the late Noble Paul Parton and the late Julia Pauline Robinson Parton. Phyllis was a member of Blackwelder Park Baptist Church. She had been employed with the Ardsley Medical Group in the office for over 20 years. She later was employed with Northeast Orthopedic Group until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and working word search puzzles. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 12, 2017 at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Phil Gobble, Jr., pastor. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 Noon Monday at the church until time for the service. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. At other times they will be at the residence. Family members left with loving memories are, her husband of 50 years, Jerry Johnson of the home, son, Bret (Wanda) Johnson of China Grove, two daughters, Tiffany (Tommy) Fulton of Landis and Meredith (Brandon) Johnson of Kannapolis. One brother, Kenneth (Pam) Parton of Columbus, Ga., and seven grandchildren; Morgan, Jacob, Andrew, Blake, John, Harper and Ava.
