Obituary: Phyllis Ann Hampton Rinehardt, 71, of 455 Benjamin Trot Lane, Salisbury died on August 12, 2011 at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Death was un-expected.Mrs. Rinehardt was born on Dec. 12, 1939 in Cabarrus Co. the daughter of the late Lloyd Ervin Hampton and the late Clara Elizabeth Lowder Hampton.Phyllis attended Franklin Heights Baptist Church. She was a member of the Kannapolis W.O.T.M. #851 where she was a Senior Regent. She was a Duke Energy Retiree, Salisbury Chapter and never, ever missed a sporting event to see one of her grandchildren or great-grandchildren play. The funeral service for Mrs. Rinehardt will take place at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel conducted by Rev. Jim E. Gregg. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home before the service. At other times they will be at the home of the step-parents, Everette and Frankie Lambert at 1508 Webb Road, Salisbury, NC.Survivors include her husband, George W. Rinehardt, Sr. of the home; son, John L. Rary (Rita) of Concord; daughter, Janice Swaringen of Mt. Pleasant; 3 brothers, Steve Lambert of Mooresville, Jimmy Lambert (Paulette) and Jerry Lambert (Ellen) both of Kannapolis. Also by her step-parents, Everette and Frankie Lambert of Salisbury and by grandchildren; Michael Swaringen, Matthew Swaringen, Mitchell Swaringen, Josh Walsh and John Rary, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cloe' and Emma.Whitley's Funeral Home will be in charge of the service.
