Obituary: Midland, NC- Robert Justin Kimbrell, age 27, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 1, 2016 at the home of a friend. He was born February 5, 1988 in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of Marvin Anthony Kimbrell and Robin Church Kimbrell. He attended Central Cabarrus High School. Justin was employed as a plumber with Spencer's Plumbing, Midland, NC for ten years. He was a member of Independence Square Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC. His family fondly remembers his love of football, baseball, and hanging out with his friend, Michael, and his son, Joel. He especially loved doing things for kids and spending time with his dog, Bud. Relatives that have preceded him in death include maternal grandfather, Jimmy Church; paternal grandparents, Marvin (Pete) & Delores Kimbrell. The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Mallard Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Charlotte, NC officiated by Rev. Tim Jones. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Whitley's Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC. The remainder of the time the family will be at the home. Survivors in addition to his parents include his maternal grandmother, Burdell Church of Charlotte, NC; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
