Rafael Angeles Varela

Rafael Angeles Varela, 19, of China Grove passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

He was born September 8, 2005 in Rowan County, NC a son of Luis Angeles Guerrero of Salisbury and Ma. Dolores Varela Arredondo of China Grove.

Rafael was a May 2024 graduate of Carson High School. He worked with his father’s concrete and asphalt company. He was a fan of muscle cars and going to gun shows. He enjoyed sports and loved eating fast food. He loved his family and friends.

Services will be private.

He is also survived by three brothers, Luis Aldo Angeles Varela, Miguel Angeles Varela and wife Gabriela Loeza, and Brando Angeles Varela. He is also survived by a niece Cecilia Angeles Loeza, grandparents aunts, uncles, and cousins from Angeles & Varela family.
