Ralph Hartsell Hilton

Obituary: Ralph Hartsell Hilton, 86, of Kannapolis died December 25, 2012 at CMC-NE after a brief illness. Ralph was born May 15, 1926 in Cabarrus Co., a son of the late Sidney J. and Fannie Willis Hilton. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Kathleen Hilton and Hazel Overcash and a brother, Sidney Ray Hilton. Survivors include his daughter, Vickie Jennings (Duane) of China Grove; sister, Fay Wensil (Ray) of Kannapolis; Grandson, Kenny Harmon of Huntersville; granddaughter, Wendy Harmon McKee (Nick) of Kannapolis; and great-granddaughter, Kayla Queen of Kannapolis. Ralph was a lifelong area resident, retiring from Cannon Mills weave room #6. His greatest loves were gardening and spending time with family and friends in the shade of his favorite water oak tree. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 29 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
