Ralph Jenner Moss

Obituary: Ralph Jenner Moss, 87, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Gordon Hospice House after an extended illness. Mr. Moss was born October 19, 1930 on the family farm in Cabarrus County. Mr. Moss, a farmer all of his life, raised five children with his loving wife of 57 years, Maxine. Preceded in death by his parents, Ed Moss and Kathleen Carter Moss; wife, Maxine Moss, sister, Mabel Whitaker Martin; grandson, Justin Sloop; son-in-law, Gary Shannon. Left to cherish his memory are sons, Ralph Edward Moss, Rodney Moss (wife Kelly and baby Moss), daughters, Ellen Bowers, Linda Moss, all of Statesville and Kathy Shannon of Concord, grandchildren, Michelle Deese (Bryan), Lisa Trexler (Nick), great- grandchildren, Brianna Rittenhouse (husband Evan), Jessica Deese, Jaxon Trexler, Aiden Sloop, Colin Nesbitt and Peyton Shumake. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 22, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel officiated by Rev. David Childress. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior from 11:00 to 1:00 at Whitley's Annex Chapel.

Interment: Carolina Memorial Park.
