Obituary: Ralph Eugene Seamon, 93, of Salisbury NC, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks after a period of declining health. A public Internment will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11am at Center Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery, Kannapolis with Rev. Don Safrit officiating. Ralph was born July 5, 1925, in Rowan Co. the son of John Wesley Seamon and Iva Gertrude Felker Seamon. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Helen Ruth Frye Seamon in 1997. He was a life-long area resident and worked as a mechanic at Cannon Mills for 23 years where he retired in 1988. Ralph was a veteran of World War II where he served in the Navy in the 115th Seabee Battalion with Underwater Demolition Teams 2, 5, and 6 in the south and central Pacific. He was a member and Boy Scout leader at Center Grove Lutheran Church in Kannapolis. Those left to cherish his memory include his son Wesley Seamon of Fayetteville, NC, his daughter Patsy Ruth McGeorge (Jim) of Flagstaff, AZ and his son, Ronald Seamon (Paula Traffas) of Winston-Salem, NC. He is survived by his sister Betty Soon of Kaneohe, HI and grandchildren Jennifer Seamon of Fayetteville, NC, Christi McGeorge of Fargo, ND, Jeremy Seamon of Wilmington, NC, Adam McGeorge of Tempe, AZ and Luke Seamon of Lancaster, PA and seven great-grandchildren.
