Randle Jack Goforth

Obituary: Kannapolis, NC- Randle Jack Goforth, Sr., age 73, went to be with his Lord unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 while at his home in Kannapolis, NC. He was born June 27, 1935 in Marshall, NC, the son of the late Hezekiah and Josephine McKinish Goforth. He was employed at the former R.H. Bouligny, Charlotte, NC for many years until his retirement in 1987. He took great joy in working hard and providing for his family. He also enjoyed collecting antique automobiles and riding 4-wheelers with his brothers. He took pride in his home, working in his yard and taking care of his loyal companion, Madison. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Ricky Goforth, a brother, and two sisters. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Troy Beaver. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday, June 19, 2009 at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Kay Efird Goforth with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 30th. His children, Randy Goforth & wife, Holly of Cantonment, FL, Michael Goforth & wife, Carleen of New London, NC, Robbie Goforth & wife, Deneen of Jay, FL, Renee Myers & husband, Ray of Gretna, VA, Denise King & husband, Chris of Concord, NC Sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren His siblings, Conley Goforth & wife, Jane, Denny Goforth & wife, Debbie, Faye Ramsey & husband, Wayne, all of Marshall, NC, Betty Jean Redmon of Mississippi And a sister-in-law, Julie, wife, of the late Earl Goforth of Pensacola, FL.
