Obituary: Randy Lee Adams, 56 of 518 Wright Avenue, Kannapolis died May 22, 2010 at his home. He was born February 4, 1954 in Wilkes County, the son of the late Charlie and Stella Mae Cardwell Adams. He was also preceded in death by three sisters: Iva Dean Byrd, Judy Ann Gilbert and Patty Sue Wingler and a brother, Ricky Douglas Adams. He owned/operated Adams Floor Covering. He was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church, N. Wilkesboro. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, restoring and working on old Ford cars, but especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Middle Cross Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro officiated by Brother Jerry Alexander and Brother Earl Alexander. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis and at the church on Wednesday from 1 to 2. He is survived by his wife, Ann Alexander Adams, his son David Wayne Adams and wife Jennifer of North Wilkesboro, three grandchildren: Kinley, Maci and Owen, brothers: John Walter Adams of McGrady, Ernest Cardwell Adams of Covington, Ga., Charles David Adams of Kannapolis, Jerry Wayne Adams of Kannapolis and sisters: Carolyn Louise Darnell and Barbara Lynn Moore both of Miller's Creek and his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Earl and Mary Jane Alexander of N.
