Randy Kirk Gainey

Obituary: Kannapolis, NC- Randy Kirk Gainey, age 58, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 9, 2012 at his home. He was born August 16, 1954 in Chesterfield County, NC, the son of the late J.C. Gainey and Helen Davis Gainey. Randy was a 1972 graduate of A.L. Brown High School, Kannapolis, NC. Randy was employed with United parcel Service, Kannapolis, NC for 22 years until his untimely death. He is remembered as a man who enjoyed many activities in life: scuba diving, hunting, bicycling, and sky diving. Randy was also a strong Carolina fan for all their sports and one of the first members of the former Nautilus Fitness Center, Kannapolis, NC. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends at the grave after the service. Survivors include his brother, Steve Gainey & wife, Judy of Kannapolis, NC; and a niece, Bailey Gainey. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
