Obituary: Dateline: Kannapolis, NC Ray Boyd Bittle, 85 of Kannapolis, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 5, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House with his family by his side. Ray was born on April 30, 1933 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Pearl Rufus Bittle and Fannie Dorelee Jordan Bittle. In addition to his parents Ray was also preceded in death by a son, Tony Bittle; two brothers, Rev. Earl Bittle and Rev. Charles Bittle; two sisters, Louis Killian and Margie Hodge. Ray was a devout Christian and was a proud member of Central Baptist Church. He was employed with Celanese Fiber Industries in Salisbury retiring in 1996. Those left to cherish is memory include his wife; Ruby Linker Bittle of the home; a son, Cliff W. Bittle of Kannapolis; three grandchildren, Grayson J. Huffstafler, Angelena D. Bittle and Desare-Bittle, three great-grandchildren, and two brothers; Junior Bittle (Linda K.) and Lloyd Bittle (Shelia). The service for Mr. Bittle will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 8th at Central Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dean Hunter. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove, NC at a later date. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 before the service at Central Baptist.
