Obituary: Concord, NC- Ray Howard Cline, age 85, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare System-NorthEast, Concord, NC after several months of declining health. He was born September 6, 1930 in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of the late Paul Barringer Cline and Ada Melvina Shinn Cline. Ray was employed as a truck driver for Akers Motor Lines and Winn-Dixie Stores for over fifty years. He was a faithful, charter member, deacon, and usher at Crown Pointe Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC. He loved his gardens, yard work, and visiting the sick and elderly. Also, he loved watching the Atlanta Braves and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. racing . Ray loved his God, church family, and his own family, especially his great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by six brothers, Robert, James, R.F., Elmer, Earl, and Billy Cline; two sisters, Catherine Wagoner and Margaret Moore. The funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Crown Pointe Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Pastors Gene Beaver and Edward Jackson. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Tuesday at the church prior to the service. The family will be at the home the remainder of the time. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Hazel O'Kelley Cline; two daughters, Pam Cline Bost and Trina D. Cline, both of Concord, NC; three grandchildren, Jeremy Bost (Trina Whitley) of Mt. Pleasant, NC; Emily C. Reeder (Kris) of Salisbury, NC; and the late Brandi C. Bost; four great-grandchildren, Kole Reeder, Sarah Reeder, Jared Drye, and Logan Drye; two brothers, Lee P. Cline (Margaret) of Kannapolis, NC; Grady R. Cline (Shirley) of Concord, NC; two sisters, Annie C. Keller (Leroy) and Sue C. Kanipe (Bobby), both of Kannapolis, NC. Memorials may be made to Crown Pointe Baptist Church, P.O.
