Obituary: Ray Jeno Johnson, 83, of China Grove passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. He was born March 1, 1931 in Rowan County, the son of the late Kenneth King Johnson and Jessie Burris Johnson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Johnson and L.A. Johnson. Ray was the owner of Quality Clothing in China Grove for 35 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. He was a member of Landis Baptist Church. He also loved to play golf. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Landis Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Richie Honeycutt and Rev. Delmar Johnson. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM prior at church. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at West Lawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Nadean Deaton Johnson, three sons, Gary Ray Johnson (Bonnie), Todd Jeno Johnson (Susie), and Richard Brian Johnson (Rhonda), 6 grandchildren: Misty, Stephen, Sarah, Lauren, Landon and Ashley, one great grandson, Cameron, three brothers, Gene Johnson, Rev. Delmar Johnson, Teddy Johnson, and two sisters, Marlene Horton and Janice Higgins. Memorials may be made to Landis Baptist Church, 110 N Kimmons St, Landis, NC 28088.
