Kannapolis

RAY MORRIS,

76, of  Kannapolis, joyfully embraces his next life adventure on Thursday morning, May 23, 2024, at his home on his back patio listening to the bird’s cheerful chirp’s by his pool.

Born on September 8, 1947, in Cherokee County to the late Thomas Earlie Morris and Dorothy Woods Morris, Ray lived a life filled with warmth and laughter. He was a cherished employee and store manager at Lowes in Kannapolis, where his friendly demeanor and dedication left a lasting impression.

Ray’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He loved fishing, golfing, mountain trips, and a variety of sporting and family activities and adventures, especially when his boys were young. He was always talking about their accomplishments and the families they raised as they grew older. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Ray’s legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Rene Connell Morris; Shelly Morris the birth mother of their twin sons, Blake Morris, his wife Alexandra Morris and Brandon Morris and his wife Amy Morris; his treasured grandchildren Land-man, Tay-Tay, Zander-Man, Little Alex; and his dear sister Susan.

The family will come together to celebrate Ray’s vibrant life, sharing stories, photos and cherishing the wonderful memories he created for all of us.

As he wished and planned himself, we will gather on June 15th 11:00 A.M until….. at 306 Ann Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081, to celebrate your life. There will be no funeral, as you requested. Instead, we will honor your memory with the party you planned. Even though you won't be physically present. Ray’s spirit and joy will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever brighten the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Let the Good-times Roll
