Obituary: JETERSVILLE, VA.-Raymond Edward Dugas 56, formerly of Kannapolis, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA. following a six month illness. Mr. Dugas was born on November 19, 1956 in Fort Ord, California a son of the late Lt. Col. Ronald Raymond Dugas-Ret., and the late Jeanne Louise McCabe Dugas. Raymond enjoyed his 69 Chevelle and his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He was known for his kindness and his love of animals. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday December 6, 2012 at Carolina Memorial Park with Rev. Gary Scoggins officiating. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 12:30 to 2:00 PM on Thursday prior to the graveside services. Raymond is survived by his wife, Cathy Scercy Dugas of Jetersville, VA., a daughter; Sarah Dugas, brothers; Maj. Ronald Raymond Dugas II and wife Linda of Summerville, SC, and Steve Dugas, and sister; Kathy Worrell and husband Rick of the Greensville-Spartanburg, SC area.
