Raymond Joseph Hall

Raymond Joseph Hall, 91 of China Grove, NC where he lived with his daughter died December 23, 2023, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, Salisbury, NC.

Raymond was born on September 9, 1932, in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of William O. Hall and Willie Stone Hall. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Imogene Wingler Hall who were married December 23, 1951. Brothers, Edward Hall and Lee Roy Hall, and son-in-law Larry C. Weddington.

He worked in Fieldcrest Cannon until retirement.

A former member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Kannapolis where he was Scout Master for many years.

After retirement moving to Greenstreet Mountain Resort, Traphill, NC. He was a member of Church in the Wildwood in Traphill, NC where he enjoyed leading the Sunday morning music and choir.

He enjoyed playing golf at Stone Mountain Golf Resort when he lived in Traphill and always enjoyed participating in the family baseball games even at the age of 91. Most of all he loved God and his family.

He always had a song in his heart and a hug for everyone he met. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors are daughter, Kathy Hall Weddington of China Grove. Grandson, Randy Weddington (April) of Concord, Granddaughter, Patty Hudson (Brian) of China Grove, and Great Grandchildren, Caden Hudson, Korbyn Hudson, and Myles Weddington. Brother, Howard Hall (Millie) of Kannapolis and brother-in-law, Albert Wingler (Joann) of Enochville.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 1pm at Carolina Memorial Park with Minister Bill Cone officiating. Family will receive friends following the service.
