Raymond Franklin Hunter

Raymond Franklin Hunter, 76, of Kannapolis, died Wednesday, November 18, 202 at Big Elm Nursing Center after a period of declining health.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 2 at Faith Baptist Church at 904 Chipola St. Kannapolis, with Rev. James Pauley officiating. His family will receive friends after the service.

Raymond was born February 3, 1944 in Chester field Co. SC., a son of the late Francis M. and Doris McIntyre Hunter. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John and Bill Hunter.

Raymond was a longtime area resident and was of the Baptist faith. He was veteran of the US Army. He worked in the Card Room for many years for the Old Dominion/Linn Mill in Landis.

He is survived by four sisters; Margaret Childress, Frances Smith and Mary Ann Crisco, all of Kannapolis, Deloris Drye of Concord and his brother, Robert Hunter of VA Beach, VA. Raymond is also survived by four children Alice Cullotto, Sherry Garner, Frankie and Michael Hunter, several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
