Rebecca Elaine Mihealsick-Goodnight, 66 years old, of Mooresville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 30, 2024.  Rebecca was born on December 24, 1957, in Pennsylvania to John and Gertrude Mitchell Mihealsick.

Rebecca was an Adjunct Professor at Tri-County Technical College, Pendleton, SC prior to retirement.  Rebecca was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many, with her family being her focus.  She loved gardening, cooking and her cats.

Rebecca was predeceased by her father, John Mihealsick.  Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 28 years, Michael Goodnight; her son, Michael “Luke” Goodnight; her step-daughters, Carmen Geerlings and her husband Brian and Joni Flowe; her grandchildren, Riley and Layla Flowe; her brothers, John Mihealsick and his wife Marie and Timothy Mihealsick; her sister, Deborah Culbertson and her husband Ed; her brothers-in-law, Larry Goodnight and his wife Rachel and Alan Goodnight, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 2-4 pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home followed by a 4pm Celebration of Life service in our chapel officiated by Rev. Bobby Dionne.
