Obituary: Lawrence (Bud) Allan Thomas III Concord, NC. - Lawrence (Bud) Allan Thomas III, 52, of Concord, NC, died Thursday, December 2, 2010 at his residence. His death was unexpected. He was born October 7, 1958 in Guilford County, NC the son of Lawrence Allen Thomas Jr. and Peggy Boliek Thomas of Durham, NC. Mr. Thomas was the owner of Thomas Roofing Company, which he started 3 years ago. For 25 years prior to that he was in the automotive sales industry. He previously served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Memorial services will be held in Concord at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 6, 2010. The location is West Cabarrus Church and Dr. Terry Faulkenbury will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services (10:00 AM to 11:00 AM) at the church. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife; Sherry Kerley Thomas, a son; Lawrence Allan Thomas IV of the residence, Step-Children; Leah Sheree Belk and Bryan Keith Belk both of Concord, a sister; Susan Thomas Watson and husband Bill of Durham, brother; David Bentley Thomas and wife Danielle of Cary, nieces: Sarah and Vera Watson of Durham, and Samantha and Madison Thomas of Cary, Sister-In-Law; Wanda Funderud and husband John of Richmond, VA., and a Father-In-Law; Maynard Kerley. The family requests memorials are made to Northeast Foundation, 920 Church Street North, Concord, NC 28025 with all funds designated to Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital.
