Rev. Joseph (Joe) Rahme

Obituary: Rev. Joseph Earl (Joe) Rahme, 76, of Concord passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House. He was born July 28, 1935 in Ft. Mead, Florida, the son of the late Franklin Pierce Rahme and Vada Treava Nunn Rahme. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Tilley Rahme in 2000 and his brother, Jerry Rahme. He was minister of Mt. Zion First Freewill Baptist Church in Kannapolis for 28 years before retiring. He was also owner of J.E. Rahme Trucking and also drove for Akers and Johnson Motor Lines. He was a veteran of the US Marines Corps serving during the Korean War. He really loved helping people and he loved the Lord. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel officiated by Rev. Ronnie Cooper, Rev. Billy Locklear and Rev. James Shaver. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Saturday at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Molene Fisher Rahme, two sons, Earl Rahme (Debbie) and Ricky Rahme (Beverly June), grandson Jason Garrott Rahme, brother James Rahme, five step-children: Barbara Goodman, Nancy Yow, Thomas Goodman , Raymond Goodman and Robert Goodman . Memorials may be made to Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.

Service: 2:00pm Sunday April 15, 2012 Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel Kannapolis, North Carolina

Interment: West Lawn Memorial Park China Grove, North Carolina
