Obituary: Rev. Larry Dean Teague, Sr., 57, of 419 Peach St. Kannapolis, NC died at CMC-NorthEast in Concord, NC on Monday, July 5, 2010. Mr. Teague was born on September 8, 1952 in Cabarrus Co., the son of the late Henry Lee Freeman and the late Hazel Faye Teague. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Proctor Teague who died on February 3, 2010. Mr. Teague is survived by three sons; Larry Dean Teague, Jr., and Douglas C. Teague both of Kannapolis & Daniel Bryan Teague of Salisbury, NC. Also by 6 Grandchildren and 3 Brothers; Randy E. Freeman of Enochville, NC, Frankie D. Freeman & Michael Mason both of Concord. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict serving with the U.S. Army. He was a life-time resident of this area and a member of New Hope Independent Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service for Mr. Teague will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2010 at New Hope Independent Freewill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Roger Bostic & Rev. Harry T."Trooper" Ferguson. Burial will take place at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home on Thursday, July 8th from 6-8:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to: New Hope Independent Freewill Baptist Church 555 Neisler Road Concord, NC 28025.
